If it has been more than 120 days since your previous activation, it should "just work". If it doesn't, then you should see a toll-free number to call and explain the situation; it seldom takes more than 5 or 10 minutes. Afterwards, of course, reformat the old computer drive to remove Vista from it.

When you do "online activation" this is attached to the computer signature (taken from your hardware configuration), along with your name. It is all put in a MS central DB. If you try and install the CD's on another computer, and try to activate the software, you will be entering a product key already in use
